This was absolutely worth it. My air conditioning unit was so loud that it was unpleasant to run it while trying to enjoy an evening on the back porch. I also installed rubber isolation dampeners, but that did almost nothing in comparison to this blanket. The air conditioner only seems 1/3 as loud as it was before. Now the a/c can be running and I can still sit outside and enjoy the evening.
